For the first time, we’re sharing what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.
Subatron is developing next-generation wireless underwater communication technology that delivers high data rates, long range, and reliability.
Our system enables stable communication beneath the surface, where traditional technologies fail — empowering UUVs, professional divers, search & rescue operations, and environmental monitoring.
The founding team:
We are a multidisciplinary group combining expertise in physics, engineering, and business:
👩🔬 Samira Baumann – CEO & inventor of the system, Physics student at ETH Zurich with strong experience in drone and communication systems.
⚙️ Mathias Werder – CTO, electronics apprentice, system test engineer, and Mechanical Engineering student at ETH Zurich.
📊 Alissa Wyss – CFO, Business Law graduate from ZHAW with international experience in New York’s accounting and business environment.
We’ve already built our first prototype and are now advancing the system to prepare for pilot projects — paving the way for the official founding of Subatron.
